Bad Hair Day

Bad hair day

On Wednesday, January 28, Mommy had a traumatic experience! :( Josh and Alicia were in the boy’s room, supposedly picking up toys. Well, Jared (who had been doing school) goes into the room to get something. He comes out and says, “Mommy, Joshy did something bad with the scissors, and I saw him do it. He cut Alicia’s hair.”…

He cut a tiny bit off the top, quite a bit off the bangs, and some off the sides as well. Mommy was QUITE upset. *sighs*

I had been meaning to take Alicia to get her hair trimmed for a couple weeks, as the back hadn’t been cut before, and it was uneven. But I had not expected to have to go quite so high up. If we had her hair matched up to where Josh cut, it would be shoulder length…. So after much debating, that’s exactly what I decided to do. I figure that her hair grows quickly, and that by this time next year, it should be back to where it was.

Alicia @ the hair dresser

So off to the hair dresser we went…

We went to the hair place in the Wal*Mart Super Store in Vancouver, Washington today…. I won’t be taking her there anymore. The lady was unfriendly, didn’t even try to put Alicia (who was terrified) at ease, and was in such a hurry, that she really didn’t do that great of a job…. And I think that she was put out that I had brought my camera… She says, “You can take a picture of her, but don’t take one of me.”… Why would I want one of her anyway?

Alicia's new haircut

I tried to get a good picture of her new hair-do, but the lighting was all wrong…. But you can kinda see it…. It makes her look older. She doesn’t look like she’s just 2 years old…

Can’t wait for her bangs to grow back.

I’m kinda depressed right now. Here I have this awesome weigh-in, and want to share it. But not a single person visited me on my weigh-in day. *sighs*…. Sometimes I feel invisible…. Kinda like Mia in “The Princess Diaries”

On another note, I was so happy to still see 157 on the scale this morning. Yesterday was a bad day, food wise. We had my brother and his family over for dinner, and I made BBQ meat balls… YUMMY! They are one of my favorite foods. I still use ground beef too. In the past Joe and I have tried the ground turkey, and we both hated it! :P Now we both love turkey, but grind it up and put taco seasoning on it (that’s how we tried it), and it was nasty!

To go with the BBQ meatballs, I made corn, potatoes (cooked in the microwave like a baked potato), and Joe bought some potato rolls… The problem was, the bag got tossed before I could get the calorie info on it. So when adding my food intake into my diet power program, I just put in a different kind of roll. So my calorie count may not be perfectly accurate. Also… I was VERY bad…. My hubby always thinks we need a desert if we have company. And my nephew is milk intolerant… So Joe picked up a couple boxes of twinkies…. These are a big weakness for me! ;) …. I had (dare I admit this) 2 of them! *gasp* …

… So now you see why I am excited about still being 157 this morning!
