Well, That’s Annoying!

Train Quilt Panel
When I went to get the fabric for the quilt I am making for my friend’s baby, I saw this panel and decided to use that, instead of making a “real” quilt… I just couldn’t resist that train! It’s soooo cute! … Although I think I annoyed the fabric lady at Walmart. You see, it is technically already quilted with a thin batting in-between and another train fabric on the back… But I am going to add a thicker batting, with my own fabric for the back. I like to do this so I can add the ribbon “tags” around the outside of the quilt… Babies love to play with the tags!… Plus, babies need a thicker snuggle blanket than what they did. 
Anyway, I cut my ribbons into small strips and started pinning them around the panel, getting ready to sew the tags on with the new batting, when I noticed it…
There is a hole, about the size of a dime, in the middle of the bottom train. 
Talk about annoying!
So now I am going to have to take the panel back to Walmart and exchange it for another one… Let’s hope they don’t think I’m the one who put the hole in it!… You do think they will let me exchange it, right? (Please say yes!)
So, there goes my plans to get the quilt done this weekend. *sigh* … Better get to Walmart soon!
I got a call from Joe a couple hours ago… I didn’t get to talk long, because his phone went out of range, so I don’t really know how the hike went, but he sounded cheerful, like they were having a good time… BUT… He had to run to the store (which is where he was leaving when he called) … Turns out that I forgot to pack the hotdogs in the cooler for him! *oops* … I feel so bad! … The sad thing is, when I went to pack the cooler, the hot dogs were the first things I thought of. I told myself not to forget them, but I wanted to get the water, soda, and milk in first, and then add the hot dogs, etc after… Well, that was the last thought I had about those hotdogs. *lol* … They had planned on doing hotdogs last night and then do hamburgers (which Scott provided) tonight, but they just switched plans and are having the hotdogs tonight…. Bad wife award goes to me! 
The girls loved the movies… They watched Milo and Otis first, and you should have heard all the giggling coming from the living room. *lol* They loved it so much that Amanda is already watching it a second time, right now… As for the Hannah Montana movie, Alicia called it “perfect”.
The girls are having a lot of fun. Alicia said it was nice that there were no boys in the house, and they’ve been playing together so nicely… They took a LONG bath together this morning, and I heard a whole lot of giggling and splashing coming from in there… I hope Alicia cleaned up after herself well (she said she did), because I am currently too afraid to go look! *rofl*

Man, that stinks about the quilt! I hate it when that happens!! You really have to watch with fabric because they aren’t careful and sometimes snip holes into places that there shouldn’t be holes. *sigh*
Glad to hear the boys (and the girls) are having a great time! I think it’s fun to divide like that and do special stuff. I don’t have my girl to do girly things with, but I still like to go on “dates” with my boys.

Hope they cooperate with you on the exchange. I’ve had similar situations when I’ve bought items and sometimes they exchange it, while other times they act like I have a three heads and am speaking a foreign language. Hopefully they replace!

That would be annoying….hopefully they will replace it and you can get it finished. It is cute.

Oh yes they will let you return it, it’s Wally World they are so good about things like that, although the might think you are pulling one over on them right?? LOL1 well good luck, I love the trains very cute. Happy Fall!
