First Bowling Award Patches

When Coach Mick was handing them out today, he gave Josh three patches, but he never did call Jared. We didn’t know what to think about that, since Jared has always been a better bowler than Josh. I was half wondering if maybe Jared’s had gotten misplaced or something…
Anyway, they had put these stickers on the back of the patches that had Josh’s name on them, and the score made for the patch, and the date of the game… One of the patches Josh was given was for a 300 series. It said that Josh got a 308 on November 7th… I got to looking at these stickers, and I realized that Josh didn’t get his first 300 series until last Saturday. So I looked in the score notebook that I keep, and sure enough, Jared bowled a 308 on 11/7/09, not Josh.
Two of the 3 patches that Josh got were actually Jared’s patches.
Talk about unorganized! … At least now we know why Jared didn’t get any patches!
So I showed the boys, and they both agreed with me that they were Jared’s patches… I was worried that Josh would be disappointed that they weren’t all his, but he wasn’t. I guess he had been confused by the scores too. *lol* Also, Mick said that they were 4-5 weeks behind in the patches, so Josh will be getting more patches, as he’s been bowling a lot better for the last 2-3 weeks.
Anyway, here is what they got:
Josh got a “75 Game” patch for his 89 that he got on 10/24/09 … (his top league game is now 122, which he got last Saturday)
Jared got a “100 Game” patch for his 115 game on 10/17/09 … (his high league game is now 170, which he got on 12/12/09)
He also got a “300 Series” patch for his 308 series on 11/07/09 … (his high league series is now 342, which he bowled on 12/12/09)
Hmmm… What else is going on with us? … Well, we did finish our 2nd quarter of homeschool lessons yesterday! I can’t believe that we are halfway through the school year already… Didn’t we just start?! 
… Of course, Josh said, “ONLY half way?!” *lol* Poor Joshy Pooh! 
Before I go, I wanted to give a quick shout out for night cream … As old as I am getting, I probably need that as much as I need the eye cream?! *rofl*

Well thats really cool that they get patches!! That will be a great keepsake for them.

Way to go Jared and Josh!
I can’t believe my kids are halfway done with school either. It seems like time just seems to fly by!

What a bummer on the patch mix-up. Glad they knew it was a mix-up, though, and that things could be “ironed out.” (My pun on patches…)

They should put an OCD in the awards committee.
but am glad Josh wasn’t disappointed and I hope Jared wasn’t disappointed for the mistake. Congrats guys!!!!
